Four new horror shows premiering this week, including Season 2 of “Chucky”!
This first full week of October is a huge week for new horror, with 13 new horror movies hitting theaters and streaming. And the small screen is also full of cool horror.
One of horror’s most beloved slasher franchise icons is making a comeback to the small screen, for starters, while three new shows will also debut this week.
Here’s all the new Horror TV that’s coming October 5 – October 9, 2022!
The first standing “Chucky” Season 2 premieres on SYFY and USA tonight, October 5and the all-new season kicks off with a special Halloween-themed episode titled “Halloween II.”
“Chucky” is the sequel to the iconic film franchise chronicling the murderous escapades of the notorious killer doll. In the television series, Chucky crosses paths with sworn enemies, old allies, and new prey, as he seeks to inspire fear and mayhem wherever he goes. After his diabolical plan to invade American children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: teenage survivors Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson ) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), as well as her ex. Tiffany, now his sworn enemy.
Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly will both be back for Season 2 of “Chucky,” with returning cast members also including Zackary Arthur like Jake Wheeler, Bjorgvin Arnarson like Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind like Lexy Cross, Fiona Dourif like Nica Pierce, Alexander Vincent like Andy Barclay, Christine Elise like Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.
Meg Tilly (Psycho 2, body thieves), Gina Gershon (Bound, Killer Joe), Joe Pantoliano (Memento), Tony Nappo (Saw II), and Sutton Stracke (“Real Housewives”) also stars.
And lachlan watson (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) will play Glen/Glenda!
A new adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel, which has become a Swedish film Leave the one on the right in in 2008 then American remake Let me enter several years later, Show timeit is “Leave the one on the right in” will start streaming in time for Halloween on Friday, October 7.
Showtime will debut “Let the Right One In” on streaming and on-demand for all Showtime subscribers on October 7, before making its on-air debut on October 9. to 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Directed by Oscar® candidate Demian Bichir (A better life), the 10-episode series from Tomorrow Studios (snowdrops) also features Tony winner Anika Noni Rose (Dream Girls, Power), Grace Gumer (Mister Robot), Madison Taylor Baez (Selena: the series), Kevin Carroll(Snowfall),Ia foreman(Merry Wish-Mas) , Jacob Buster(Colony)and Nick Stahl (Fear the living dead).
Based on the best-selling Swedish novel and film, the series centers on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez), whose life changed 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked up at 12, possibly forever, Eleanor leads a closed life, only able to go out at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.
With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point, “Let the Right One In” will subvert genre expectations, turning a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength and compassion.
The series is produced by award-winning playwright, writer and producer Andrew Hinderaker (A way,PENNY DREADFUL) who also serves as showrunner. Seith Mann ( COUNTRY, #FreeRayshawn, Raising Dion)is also an executive producer and directed the pilot, as well as several episodes. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements are executive producers for Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partnership). Alissa Bachner is co-executive producer and Bichir is series producer.
netflix and Mike Flanagan (“The Haunting of Hill House”, “Midnight Mass”) presents “The Midnight ClubThis Halloween, a series adaptation of Christopher Pikefrom 1994 which will also adapt other Pike stories. The series begins Friday, October 7.

Created and written by Ryan J. Brownhorror comedy “Destroy” arrives this week BBC Three, a slasher installed aboard a cruise ship. The series will launch exclusively on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on October 9and you can watch the trailer below.
“Wreck” is described as a tense thriller, mixing comedy with a slice of slasher, set aboard the cruise ship The Sacramentum. The series follows 20-year-old new recruit Jamie as he infiltrates the crew of 3,000 in a desperate race to find his missing sister.
“She was working on the same vessel on a previous tour and disappeared while chartering. Jamie is introduced to cruise life and gets a crash course in tribes among the staff: theater kids, mafias and low-paid workers. For this overworked and underpaid crew, life below decks can be an odyssey of partying and excess…and they remain oblivious to the bloody murders taking place aboard. Jamie is forced to become a detective and uncover the grim truth.
