Final Evangelion movie coming to Amazon Prime next month
Originally released in Japan in March of this year, the fourth and final film of the Rebuilding Evangelion the series will make its way to the United States next month. * Breathe heavily * Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.01 Once upon a time arrives on Amazon Prime on August 13. Speaking via video chat at Comic-Con @ Home, evangelization creator Hideaki Anno explained how the team updated and revised the film for its worldwide release.
“Creation has no end,” Hideaki Anno said. “Our staff are determined to work on projects for as long as they have time. So we want to maintain the quality and improve it if time permits.
“We are finishing our work because there is a time limit, or a deadline,” he continued. “We stop working because of a delay. If we have more time after the deadline, we will all be excited and eager to upgrade he. We wanted to show our audience the best version of our work, and since we had more time, the staff took the initiative revise the film. It does not affect the content of the story much.self. We improve it technically, So it may not be something that everyone will notice. Despite this, we always want to improve the technical quality down to the smallest detail.
The first one evangelization The film premiered in 2007 when Anno said he and his team came up with the ending. “This was planned from the start, and although the details or the way of portraying have changed, the basic points are the same,“he explained. This is the fourth film in the series. Others include: 2007 Evangelion: 1.11 You are (not) alone, 2009 Evangelion: 2.22 You can (not) advance, and 2012 Evangelion: 3.33 You can (not) redo.
Anno gave fans a hint on what he’ll do next evangelization. He stressed that he would then focus on live-action movies. “It took 16 years to finally end the series. I am really relieved. When I realized I was 60 years old. Now that I’ve turned 61 this year, from now on I’m planning on making new live-action movies instead of Eva. For the animation, it would be great if I had the chance to do it again after taking a few live shots.

Like The AV ClubSam Barsanti noted earlier this month, this is not the end of evangelization. He writes: “Of course the real leaders of NERV know that The end of evangelism is not really the end of evangelization, as it plays out in the series creator Hideaki Anno Rebuilding Evangelion series of films, which – at the risk of saying too much – is a… remake of the original series. Still, the film was a huge hit in Japan, and fans around the world have been waiting for it forever, so let’s not spoil it.
