Ed Sheeran let his fans know that he is a big fan of Sam Smithwhom he invited on stage to perform during his takeover of England’s legendary Wembley Stadium.

Ed plays two weekend sets in London and invited the ‘Dancing with a Stranger’ singer to accompany him on his second night. The Grammy Winner shared a nice video of them hanging out and captioned it, “The amazing @samsmith guest last night at a sold out Wembley. Got goose bumps about it, it’s so wonderful.

Sam reposted the video and expressed on his Instagram: “Always grateful for your support and friendship Ed. Hearing Wembley sing ‘stay with me’ last night is a sound I will never forget. Took me to the moon. Thanks. What a show, what a guy.

The duo performed Sam’s 2014 hit, “Stay With Me,” which Ed explained in the video, “We first performed this song eight years ago, which is crazy!” The clip also shows the “Shvers” singer admiring Sam’s vocal prowess, dancing on stage and inviting the audience to join their duet.

After the show, Ed called their set “pure fun” and said the audience of the night was “the best audience in London, ever”.

The video also highlighted the multiple hugs shared by the two during the event. “I love you,” the redhead said to Sam in a hug before they took the stage. Sam replied, “I love you more!”

Ed is then set to take over Wembley on June 29-30.
