"I loved acting in The Sentinel"
Even if "The Sentinel'1 stopped in the United
States, the series fans haven't forgotten likable Garett Maggart.
Anxious to change his image, he decided to take part in the film
"Demon Under Glass", a fantastic thriller that will be shown in
Cannes- Exclusively for "Series zap", and thanks to the valuable
help from his French fans, Garett tells us everything
How have you been contacted to play in "Demon Under Glass"?
In fact it all Started with D.L, Warner. She said she was a big fan of the series "The Sentinel". She wanted to produce a film with the main actors I must say her approach and the script she sent me appealed to me.
What part do you play?
I'm Dr. Joseph Me Kay. a young and rather sensitive doctor who finds himself thrown into a nightmare. Everything starts for him when he has to work on the Delphi Project… a scientific project the point of which is to study a real vampire. He's not sure who he can trust anymore. He wonders if he's really on the right side,
Is "Demon Under Glass" different from other vampire films?
I don't think it's a vampire film. Its atmosphere is more like a psychological thriller. The whole plot is above all based on the relationship between the vampire, played by Jason Carter, and my character.
Could this story become a television series?
It is planned- But sincerely, I don't know if I'll be able to play my part again. This will mostly depend on the circumstances. But I sure enjoyed playing that part a lot.
Would you have loved to play the role of the vampire?
Ah, I agree, that could have been nice! I'd love to play a bad guy. I could have seen myself as the Green Buffoon against Spiderman. A real child's dream' (laughter)
Do you like the fantastic?
Yes, I agree- I'm pretty fond of that kind of atmosphere. At least you never get bored. But here, this is just a coincidence. I think I would've played in that movie even if it hadn't been about a vampire. I must say that I'm fascinated by the paranormal phenomena I won't say I believe everything that's told, but I'm very much interested in the subject.
What did "The Sentinel" bring you?
Above all it was the ideal thing to work on a regular basis without worrying about the future. Then it was fantastic to be able to work with such a united team. We all stayed in touch and we often meet during conventions,
Was it a good thing for you that the series stopped?
At the time, everything happened rather fast. Of course I was disappointed not to be able to play with Richard Burgi anymore. We really made a good team- if I had the opportunity, I wouldn't refuse to play Blair Sandburg again, but I'm glad I moved on. You can be quickly stuck with that sort of character.
Your father was an actor, what would you do if your children wanted to follow the same path?
I would be delighted. But I would first make sure that they want to do this job because they really want it, not because they want to copy me, 1 wouldn't force anybody to become an actor, even if this is a job I love!
