Questions about
France:
What are your impressions of Paris and of French people?
Overall, very good. Contrary to stereotypes, no one
was rude. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I only ran into one
rude waiter and that can happen anywhere.
Did you have any ideas about Paris and France before coming and what did
you absolutely want to see first?
I had no preconceptions, that was why I was blown away. I
wanted to see the Louvre first which is what we did.
Have you been disappointed by anything you saw?
No, it was a totally positive experience.
Is Paris different from what you had in mind?
I really didn't know what to expect, so it was all great.
Questions about
Demon Under Glass:
It's the first time you're involved in the promotion of a movie.
I've helped promote television shows by going to network
functions and affiliate meetings, but this is the first promotion I've
done for a film
So, how do you feel about this kind of responsibility?
I'm okay with it. That's part of the job.
What will you say to the buyers to make them understand that DUG is a
good movie?
It's a different kind of vampire film. It's smart and
funny.
Why did you accept to play in it?
I liked the script. It was intelligent and dark
and fun.
This movie involved fans. It's a real new concept.
That is very different for me.
Have you been afraid by this involvement?
No. I've gotten used to the fans helping to get the
word out with The Sentinel.
Have you sometimes been surprised by the fans participation?
I'm sometimes surprised by how active the fans are.
Do you consider that it was an enriching experience?
Yes.
Would you suggest this concept to others actors or producers?
Yes, if it helps the film and doesn't interfere with the process
of making it.
This movie speaks about
immortality, medical experimentation, relationship between doctors and
patients. Are you aware of that and what are your feelings about
these subjects?
I think medical experiments can be a double-edged
sword. They can benefit humanity but they can really push ethical
boundaries. It's something we have to consider carefully. I
also think that the medical community would jump on the chance at
someone like Simon.
What are your best memories of the shooting ?
I enjoyed working with Jason Carter. We had a lot of
great chemistry and I enjoyed the give and take on the set. I
liked working with Jack Donner and Jon Cunningham as well. There
was a great creative energy on the set.
Is there a scene you 'd like to be played differently ?
No, not really.
Have you brought changes to the character of Joe Mac Kay as you
progressed with the shooting (like make him stronger, more vulnerable)?
I hope I brought a believability and sensitivity to
him. Short of being altruistic, I hope it came across that he
always put his patients first.
When DUG will be a success, it'd become a new TV show. Are you ready to
play a recurrent role again?
Yes, absolutely.
Garett and TS
In 2002, how Blair Sandburg's character could have evolved?
I think he would have gotten his degree somehow and still
been involved with Jim. I see him as a cross between Batman
and Robin and Indiana Jones -- a capped anthropologist.
How do you explain TS international success?
I really can't. I think the relationship between the
characters must have struck a cord with people.
Did you do your own stunts (climbing trees, jumping out of a chopper)?
When I was allowed to. The insurance company
for the show wouldn't let us do a whole lot.
Private Questions
Do you still want to create a theatre school for young?
Someday. Right now, I'm working on my career.
Why are you surprise to have fans all over the world?
No, between television and the internet I'm not surprised
how a show can reach all parts of the world. It's flattering.
Have you ever been or are you still, a fan yourself?
Sure
Of whom or of what ?
I'd say I'm a sports fan. I'm an avid movie watcher
but I don't follow any particular person's career.
Do you understand the need for fans to meet their favorite artist?
Yes, I do.
What kind of music do you like and what is your favorite group,
favorite love song?
I like rock and roll. Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd. I
can't say I have a favorite love song.
Would you like to direct a movie?
Sure, under the right circumstances.
Who are the actors you
want to direct?
I don't really have anyone in mind. If an actor was
good and liked the project, then I'd work with them.
If you were to play with Richard Burgi and / or Bruce A. Young
and if you had to write the scenario for this movie, what would it be?
Oh, I don't know. Anything would be interesting with
those two.
Do you prefer playing comedy scenes or the more dramatic ones?
Each kind of role has its appeal. Drama is
easier than comedy. I just want a good role.
What kind of role do you want to play now?
Something that's different from what I've played
before. Maybe a villain
Would you like to play on stage?
Someday. I have in the past. Theater is
different because you're saying the same dialogue every
night. I've never been bitten by the drive to take on a part
like that and keep it fresh as some actors have. But I might
someday.
Do you have a nickname?
No.
